Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Briarwood collects when you use our website and products, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what the work requires.

Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and a limited amount that is gathered automatically as you use the site.
- Information you give us — the address, listing link, and context you submit when you request a property read or advisory review, and the email address you provide for research updates.
- Usage information — standard server logs kept by our hosting providers (pages requested, IP address, device and browser type) used to operate the site and keep it secure. We do not currently run a separate analytics tool.
- Cookies — a small number of cookies required to operate the site and, where applicable, to keep you signed in to Scout.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to your requests, to operate and improve our research and products, to send research updates you have asked for, and to protect the security and integrity of the service. We do not sell your personal information.
How information is shared
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the site and product (for example, hosting providers) under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law or to protect our rights. Aggregated or de-identified market research — which does not identify you — may be published or shared.
Property and market data
Briarwood's research draws on public records and licensed third-party datasets about properties and transactions. This is information about real estate, not about you, and is handled under our agreements with those data sources.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, and support the decision-outcome record that improves our research. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Your choices
You can opt out of research updates at any time by emailing hello@briarwoodai.co — updates are sent and opt-outs are handled by a person, not an automated mailing platform. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us; we will respond consistent with applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Where information is processed
Briarwood operates from the United States, and information we collect is processed in the United States. If you use the site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be handled in the U.S. under this policy.
Children's privacy
The site and our products are intended for adults making real estate decisions. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
This is a current working version of Briarwood's privacy practices and may be updated as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
